CRICKET: Robert Samuels joins WICB coaching staff

Former Jamaica and West Indies opening batsman Robert Samuels has been added to the coaching staff of the West Indies Under-19 team.




Samuels joins the staff as assistant to long-standing coach Roddy Estwick.



The 42-year-old Samuels has been coaching at the Under-19 level for over a decade.



Earlier this year he was at the helm as Jamaica won both the West Indies Cricket Board, WICB, Under-19 four-day and one-day tournaments.



The West Indies Under-19 team is in Camp in Guyana preparing for a seven-match series against Bangladesh.



Meanwhile, another former West Indies player – Ezra Moseley of Barbados will join the WICB coaching staff



Moseley, the fast bowling all-rounder, has been appointed assistant coach of the West Indies Women’s team.



The West Indies Women are in Jamaica preparing for the three-match series against New Zealand at Sabina Park.



Sherwin Campbell has been in charge of the Women’s programme since 2008.
