Eight Manning Cup matches on today, St Catherine matches cancelled

Published:Tuesday | October 1, 2013 | 12:45 PM

The Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association has postponed the matches scheduled for St Catherine today in the urban-area Manning Cup football competition because of the inclement weather affecting the island.

Four matches were scheduled for the parish of St Catherine.

Those matches were Jose Marti against Jamaica College, Innswood against St Mary's College, Waterford against Excelsior and St Jago against Norman Manley.

The postponement of the St Catherine matches means that only eight games are scheduled to be played today.

The day will feature two unbeaten teams in action. They are Hydel and Holy Trinity.

Hydel, who lead Group ‘A’ with 16 points, will play away to Edith Dalton and Group ‘G’ leaders Holy Trinity will host Trench Town at the Bell Chung Oval.

All eight matches are scheduled to start at 3:30 in the afternoon.
