Police kill alleged gang members in Denham Town, INDECOM investigating

KINGSTON, Jamaica:

Investigators from the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) were this morning processing two scenes where alleged gunmen were fatally shot in Denham Town West Kingston.




One of the men was shot during a reported clash with the police at a house in Tulip Lane about 5:30 a.m.



Ten minutes later a second man was fatally shot during another clash with the police on nearby Regent Street.



According to the police both men are suspected to be members of a criminal gang which operates out of Denham Town.



INDECOM investigators on the scene also reported that the men were persons of interest to the police.



Up to a short while ago the police had refused to release the names of the dead men.
