CUBAN LIGHT BULB TRIAL: Case pushed back again

Published:Thursday | October 3, 2013 | 2:08 PM

The Cuban light bulb trial has again been pushed back.

The matter could not proceed today in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court because of the unavailability of one of the attorneys in the case, Deborah Martin.

The trial was rescheduled to next Tuesday.

Former junior energy minister Kern Spencer and his former personal assistant Colleen Wright are on trial on corruption and money laundering charges.

Spencer and Wright are accused of benefiting improperly from the implementation of the Cuban light bulb project.
