Education minister, Ronald Thwaites, is calling for the Transport Authority to remove so called party buses from the roads.

It has recently come to light that some students have been paying up to $500 to drive around the Corporate Area on buses on which lewd music is played and sexual activities take place.

It has been reported that these buses are usually heavily tinted.

Speaking this morning on Independent Talk on Power 106 FM, Thwaites expressed outrage at the occurrence.

He said the Transport Authority should ramp up its activities to remove heavily tinted buses from the nation’s roads.

The issue of the transportation for students has come into sharp focus following last week’s deadly accident involving Holmwood Technical High students.

Thwaites is commending those schools which have moved to provide transportation for their students.
