St Andrew businessman charged with forgery

KINGSTON, Jamaica:

The police have charged a St Andrew businessman in connection with multiple breaches of the Forgery Act committed over a 10-year-period.




He is 37-year-old Olando Meredith also known as Merick Steel of Stanmore Heights, Red Hills.



Meredith has been charged with in relation to the possession and forgery of a birth Certificate, Tax Registration Number, driver’s License and motor vehicle title.



He was remanded when he appeared in the Half-Way Tree Residents Magistrates Court yesterday and is next scheduled for court on October 15.



Meredith was charged by detectives from Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Taskforce on September 24.
