BADMINTON: Current VP, former head to battle for national presidency today

Former president of the Jamaica Badminton Association Robert Richards and current vice-president Audley Astwood will today face off for the president of the association.



The election will take place during the annual general meeting at the Jamaica Olympic Association, starting at 2:30 p.m.



Richards brings to the table a team, comprising of past players and businessmen.



They include David Thomas, Garth King, an All Jamaica and Caribbean champion, Garth Walker, another All Jamaica champion and past president Joseph Clarke, who is now one of the country’s senior umpires.



Astwood’s slate includes Vishu Tolan, first vice-president; Linley Reynolds, second vice president, Kiesha Lindsay, secretary and Jermaine Rowe, treasurer.
