Bunting for court today

Published:Monday | October 7, 2013 | 9:03 AM

The Supreme Court is today expected to hear an application accusing National Security Minister, Peter Bunting of contempt of court.

The contempt of court application was filed by Curaçoan Shureny Quant, who is being represented by Attorneys-at-Law Carolyn Reid-Cameron and Chukwuemeka Cameron.

The lawyers are contending that Bunting ordered the deportation of their client despite a Supreme Court order barring his removal from Jamaica.

They say due process and the rule of law were not followed.
