At least 22 people have been killed in a series of explosions across the Iraqi capital.

The police say there are also reports of at least six apparently coordinated bomb attacks in mainly commercial areas of Baghdad.

Iraq has seen a sharp rise in sectarian violence in recent months with nearly 6,000 people been killed so far this year.
