The Ministry of Education says that it has accepted the decision by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) to cancel the grades of several candidates who sat the May/June 2013 CAPE Physics Units 1 and 2 examinations at Jamaica College.

In a release the Ministry said it is satisfied with the investigations conducted by CXC in collaboration with the Overseas Examination Commission and the subsequent finding “that the SBA was not administered in accordance with the Council’s Regulations.”

The Ministry also says it is satisfied that Jamaica College has agreed to underwrite the tuition cost and examination fees necessitated by the requirement for the students to re-sit the CAPE Physics examination.
