Dons erased: Police remove portraits of west Kingston icons

KINGSTON, Jamaica:



In a continued bid to rid west Kingston of criminal elements, police officers from the division undertook the task of painting over wall paintings meant to imortalise popular figures in the communities.




The police say, approximately thirty images of so called dons and other revered individuals were painted over today.



They say the exercise was carried out in Wellington Street, Hannah Street, Dumphries Street, Hybrid Street, Fort Street, East Road and Oxford Street in West Kingston.
