FOOTBALL: midfielder Jermaine Hue appeals nine-month ban

Published:Saturday | October 12, 2013 | 7:43 AM

Jamaica’s Reggae Boy midfielder Jermaine Hue has appealed the nine-month ban imposed by FIFA, the world governing body, last month following a positive test.

Hue tested positive for dexamethasone, which is on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s 2013 Prohibited List, after Jamaica’s 2-0 loss to Honduras in a June 11 away game in the World Cup Qualifiers.

FIFA suspended Hue for nine months and it also suspended team doctor Carlton Fraser for four years.
