Published:Tuesday | October 15, 2013 | 8:37 AM

Former police commissioner Lucius Thomas is expected to be called to the witness stand as the corruption trial of Senior Superintendent James Forbes and businessman Bruce Bicknell resumes in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court.

Sergeant Jubert Llewellyn, who is the prosecution’s star witness, had testified that he had gone to the former commissioner to discuss the matter.

Bicknell and Forbes are accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

It is alleged that the businessman attempted to bribe Sergeant Llewellyn after being issued a speeding ticket.

Forbes is accused of taking steps to have Bicknell absolved.
