Shrewsbury murder case set for October 24

The case against two policemen charged with the murder of three cousins in Shrewsbury, Westmoreland has been set for mention on October 24.

Constables Kenroy Hines and Damane Campbell appeared in the Circuit Court in Westmoreland today.

They are charged in connection with the shooting deaths Andrew Brydson, Triston Brydson and Kingsley Green on March15.

The policemen are each on $1 million bail.

An application is to be submitted for a change of venue for their trial when the case is mentioned on October 24 as the defendants believe they will not get a fair trial in Westmoreland.

The shooting incident had sparked days of protest by residents, who insisted that the cousins were innocent of any wrongdoing.
