Relocate bus park, says Clarendon custos

Custos of Clarendon William Shagoury is again calling for the bus park in the town to be relocated.

According to him, the location of the bus park contributes to the longstanding congestion problem at the Clarendon Police Divisional Headquarters in May Pen.

The custos, who has been advocating for the removal of the municipal bus park across from the police station, said that in order to solve the chronic congestion in the area, the bus park must be relocated.

He says he has discussed the problem with former Mayor of May Pen Milton Brown, and with current Mayor Scean Barnswell, but the problem still persists.

He was speaking yesterday at the handing over ceremony of two motorcycles to the Clarendon Police.

Senior Superintendent Micheal Scott said the motorcycles will enhance the crime fighting capacity of the Clarendon Police Division where ninety seven persons have already been murdered since the start of the year.
