Director of the Ganja Law Reform Coalition, Delano Seiveright is to attend the 2013 International Drug Policy Reform Conference being held in Denver, Colorado from October 23 to 26.

He is attending the conference at the invitation of the New York City based Drug Policy Alliance.

In the past decade hundreds of drug policy reforms have been enacted on issues ranging from medical marijuana to treatment-instead-of-incarceration for nonviolent drug law violations.

Building on these developments, more than 1,000 drug policy experts, health-care and drug treatment professionals, elected officials, law enforcement, and formerly incarcerated people will gather to promote alternatives to the failed war on drugs.

The Ganja Law Reform Coalition was incorporated in Kingston, Jamaica in 2010 with founding Chairman the late Professor Barry Chevannes.

The broad range group is focused on lobbying for ganja law reform in Jamaica.
