CUBAN LIGHT BULB TRIAL: More delays, attorney absent again

Published:Monday | October 28, 2013 | 12:22 PM

The Kern Spencer corruption trial has again been postponed.

The case is to be called up on Thursday.

Last week, Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey warned that the matter must get underway today.

However, the case had to be pushed back again because of the absence of Spencer’s attorney Deborah Martin.

Martin has been involved in a case before the Supreme Court.

Spencer and his former personal assistant Colleen Spencer are on trial for money laundering and illicit enrichment arising from the implementation of the Cuban light bulb programme.
