'Why is Maggotty High just learning of vulgar video?'

The Education Ministry says Maggotty High needs to explain why it is just learning of a 2011 video showing students of the school behaving badly at a party.
The video which emerged last week, shows some of the female students lifting their uniforms, exposing their underwear, while gyrating on the ground and dancing with their male peers.
Yesterday, principal of the St Elizabeth-based institution, Rawle Bent, said the school only became aware of the video last week.
He also noted that only one of the students identified in the video remains at the institution.
However, Education Minister Ronald Thwaites says he cannot believe that the party or video escaped the attention of the management of Apple Valley Park, a nearby police station and the school administration.
Thwaites says while he is not seeking to cast blame, the questions have to be asked.
The Education Minister is denying reports that the school has decided to expel the student identified in the video.
Thwaites says the matter has been referred to the school’s board and the parents of the student are to meet with school officials on Thursday.
The six-minute video has been pulled from the video-sharing site, YouTube but remains on other social media sites such as Facebook.
