Judge resumes summation at Lescene Edwards murder trial

Published:Wednesday | October 30, 2013 | 9:55 AM

Senior Puisne Judge Gloria Smith is to continue her closing argument in the murder trial of police constable Lescene Edwards today.

Edwards is accused of killing his former girlfriend Aldonna Harris.

However, he has denied having any involvement in the murder.

Harris' body was found with a gunshot wound to her head at her home at Pembroke Hall in September 2003.

A suicide note was found inside her room but the Crown is alleging that Harris did not write it.

She had reportedly broken off a relationship with Edwards, who is the father of her children, and later gotten married.

Harris was killed five weeks after her wedding.
