FOOTBALL: 15 daCosta Cup matches on today

The quarterfinal round of the 2013 ISSA/LIME daCosta Cup schoolboy football competition will kick into gear today with the playing of fifteen matches.

This includes another clash between beaten Ben Francis Cup Knockout champions Manchester High, and the Jackie Walters-conditioned Clarendon College clash at Juici Beef Complex.

In other interesting match-ups, reigning champions Glenmuir High will face Ben Francis Cup semi-finalist Paul Bogle High at York Oval, reigning four-time knockout winners St Elizabeth Technical will play Christiana High at Kirkvine Sports Club, and Rusea’s High tackle 2005 winners Godfrey Stewart High at Frome Sports Complex.

Elsewhere, Green Pond will meet William Knibb for the second time this year in the first match, at 1 p.m., of a double header, at Jarrett Park with St James High and Mushcett squaring off in the feature at 3 pm.

Munro College, which finished second in Zone E on goal difference behind STETHS, will play Spaldings High, while Marcus Garvey, who finished atop Zone I will entertain Brimmervale at Drax Hall.
