Published:Wednesday | October 30, 2013 | 6:01 PM

The police have released the identities of the three men who were killed while playing a game of domino on Hudson Street in Westmoreland last night.

Those murdered were 63-year-old George Whyte, 58-year-old Melbourne Johnson and 45-year-old Bromfield Clarke.

Two other men remain in hospital in stable condition.

The police say one of the men who was killed worked as a groundsman at the Darliston Police station.

According to the Constabulary Communication Network, the shooting victims were among a group of men playing domino when three men approached and opened fire about 8:30 p.m.

Up to news time, the police reported that no one has been taken into custody in relation to the shooting.

However, they said the investigation into the deadly incident was ongoing.

The police suspect that the shooting incident is a result of a turf war between community members.

The police are still maintaining a strong presence in the area.
