West Indies bowlers followed up good performances by their batting counterparts on Thursday's second day of their first and only three-day warm-up match ahead of next week's opening Test against India.

The bowlers, led by Veersammy Permaul, captain Darren Sammy, Sheldon Cotterrell and Tino Best, had India club side Uttar Pradesh at 206 for five when stumps were drawn.

This was after the home team was at one stage reeling at 96 for four.

Permaul claimed two for 61, while there was a wicket apiece for Sammy, Cotterrell and Best.

This was in reply to West Indies’ first innings total of 466.

Leading the way for West Indies, who began the day on 333 for four, was the experienced Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who made 112, to record his 68th first-class hundred.

Narsingh Deonarine with 94 was the next best scorer, while Permaul ended on 46 not out.
