FOOTBALL: US U-17 women triumph over Canada

The United States’ superiority over their CONCACAF neighbours continued following a comfortable 2-0 victory over North American rival Canada in CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship action at the Montego Bay Sports Complex last night.

The USA won on goals from Zoe Reidi in the 36th minute and, forward Mallory Pugh, in the 62nd minute.

The Americans top the group with maximum nine points and will now face Mexico in semi-final action on Thursday at 3 p.m.

Mexico finished second in Group A.

Jamaica, who are the winners of Group A, will play Canada in the second semi-final at 6 p.m.
