Five days without water for sections of Trelawny

Published:Tuesday | November 5, 2013 | 8:11 AM

The National Water Commission (NWC) is urging residents of some communities in Trelawny to store water as they will be without the commodity for the next five days.

The NWC says Dornoch Treatment Plant in Trelawny will be taken out of operation starting today to facilitate urgent maintenance work.

The utility company says the work will last until Saturday, November 9.

It says the disruption in service will affect the communities of Rio Bueno, Calabar, Brompton, Jackson Town, Samuel Prospect, Vale Royal, Hatfield, Farm Town, Arcadia, Grove and Middlemost.

The NWC says water will be trucked to the communities in the interim.
