JCF Inspectorate probing allegations of misconduct

Published:Tuesday | November 5, 2013 | 8:21 AM

The Inspectorate of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has launched a probe into allegations of police misconduct.

The Constabulary Communication Network say the probe follows complaints from Jamaicans regarding the conduct of some members of the Force while on operational duties.

It notes that police personnel are trained to conduct themselves in a professional manner as force policies and procedures dictate.

And it says any deviation from these established guidelines and standards will not be tolerated and strict disciplinary measures will be taken in cases where breaches are identified.

Members of the public are being urged to visit the Inspectorate of Constabulary at the NCB South Tower on Oxford Road, Kingston 5 or call 906-0837 to report any instance of unprofessional conduct by members of the force.
