The St Catherine police say they have taken two wanted men into custody.

They say the men, whose names have not been released, were taken in for shooting and murders committed in the St Catherine South division.

Superintendent of police Clive Blair, who heads the operation portfolio, says the men were held yesterday.

He says the men were among 33 others who were held in Clifton District during an operation.

Superintendent Blair says the others were processed and released.

He says the police will continue operations throughout the division to disrupt the movements of criminals.
