Having survived the blind auditions, battle and knockout rounds, singer Tessanne Chin again passed another round and was Thursday night announced one of the top 12 finalists on United States-based vocal competition, The Voice.
For Thursday night’s show, Chin and other members of Team Adam were the last of the four teams to perform.
As a group, they sang ‘Safe And Sound’ while interacting with the audience.
Chin was the second contestant from Team Adam to be announced as safe.
Earlier she tweeted: “How's everyone feeling tonight??? Getting ready for results, nervous and excited!!! No matter what happends (sic) just wanna thank you all.”
The other safe contestants from her team were James Wolpert and Will Champlin.
As expected, social media was abuzz with persons excited about Chin’s success.
“America chose Tessanne. Top 12 LIVE next week,” singer Denyque tweeted.
On Istagram, DJ Delano from Rennaissance Disco said, “He said ‘And #america saved’ but is #jamaica and the world saved #tessannechin.”
Tonight's results followed Chin’s performance on Monday of Jimmy Cliff's Many Rivers to Cross that also closed the show.
The other contestants in the top 12 are Caroline Pennell, Johnny Gray, Kat Robichaud, Austin Jakes, Cole Vosbury, Ray Boudreaux, Jacqui Lee, Matthew Schuler and Josh Logan.
