Polls are set to close in under an hour in the historic Jamaica Labour Party (JLP)leadership contest between the incumbent, Andrew Holness and JLP deputy leader, Audley Shaw now underway at the National Arena in St Andrew.

Five thousand and ninety-one delegates are registered to cast ballots in a leadership race political analysts agree will be good for the rebuilding of the party, which suffered two consecutive national election losses in its two years of opposition.

Electoral officials say the process has gone mostly smoothly since the polls opened at 8:00 this morning.
