Published:Monday | November 11, 2013 | 12:29 PM

The first Monday Night fixture of the 2013-2014 Red Stripe Premier League season takes place today with defending champions Harbour View hosting Waterhouse.

The match will take place at the Harbour View Stadium, beginning at 7 p.m.

Harbour View will enter tonight’s contest seventh in the points’ table on eight points, five behind the leading pair of Montego Bay United and Humble Lion.

Waterhouse are two points ahead of Harbour View.

They are locked on 10 points with three other teams – August Town, Cavalier and Tivoli Gardens.

Coach Calvin Lewis began his stint at Portmore United yesterday on a winning note as his team recorded a 1-nil victory over Montego Bay United at Wespow Park.

Stephen Williams scored the only goal of the contest in the 85th minute to give Portmore United their first victory from seven games. With the victory, Portmore United moved to five points, but are still bottom of the table.

Struggling Boys’ Town and Rivoli United also secured victories on Match Day Seven.

Boys’ Town scored a 2-0 away victory over August Town at the UWI Bowl; while Rivoli United beat Arnett Gardens 2-1 at Prison Oval in Spanish Town.

And Humble Lion joined Montego Bay United atop the table on 13 points following an away goalless draw against Tivoli Gardens at the Edward Seaga Complex.

The game between Sporting Central and Cavalier at the Juci Patties Park was not played due to the inadequate playing surface cause by recent heavy rains.
