Explosive opening batsman Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels are the only Jamaicans named in West Indies squad for the One-Day International Series against hosts India, starting on November 21.

Gayle and Samuels are among four Jamaicans currently in India for the two-match Test series.

However, the other two Jamaicans – Sheldon Cottrell and wicket-keeper/batsman Chadwick Walton – will return home following the second and final Test.

The two Jamaicans are among five players returning from the Test squad.

The others are Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Kirk Edwards and Shane Shillingford.

Johnson Charles, Jason Holder, Sunil Narine, Ravi Rampaul and Lendl Simmons will join teammates in India for the three-match One-Day International series.

The West Indies Cricket Board says all-rounder Kieron Pollard was not considered for selection due to injury.

The Windies will play two day/night matches in Kochi and Visakhapatnam on November 21 and 24.

They will wrap up the series on November 27 in Kanpur before flying out to New Zealand to play three Tests, five One-Day Internationals and two Twenty20 matches from December 3 to January 15, 2014.
