Financial analyst, Ralston Hyman, says JLP leader Andrew Holness must reappoint Audley Shaw to the shadow cabinet if he is to present a viable alternative government to Jamaica.

Hyman says while he agrees with the customary resignation of members of the shadow cabinet, Holness will have no choice but to reappoint Shaw and others, given their experience and the lack of suitable alternatives.

Two political analysts, Kevin Obrien Chang and Claude Robinson, believe Holness will reappoint a largely unchanged shadow cabinet.

They agree that it would do the JLP a disservice if he were to sideline those who did not support him in the leadership election.

Chang says the spokespersons who supported Shaw are capable individuals who ought to be kept in prominent positions, while Robinson says Holness does not have a large enough majority to ignore those who did not support him.
