The Voice puts Twitter fans in charge
Davina Henry, Staff Reporter
Tonight The Voice’s live eliminations will narrow the top twelve to the top 10.
This will be determined by user votes and the new ‘instant save feature’ using Twitter.
Nine contestants will be chosen solely by votes, and for the first time ever since its 2011 premiere, viewers will now have a chance to tweet the name of the contestant who they believe should be saved.
Here’s how the instant save feature works: The three artistes who receive the fewest votes will be revealed.
Host Carson Daly will announce that the instant save window is open and fans will have 5 minutes to tweet the name of their favorite contestant in the bottom three.
To vote, you must post the hashtag #Voicesave and the eligible keyword of the artiste you wish to save.
Eligible key words listed by The Voice for @tessanne are Tessanne, Tessane, tessann, tesann and tessan.
Fans can make as many posts as they want to drum up support, but only one save per artist per Twitter ID will be counted.
Instant Save Voting is open to all individuals with a valid Twitter and will once again be used on November 19, 26 and December 3.
