Some classes at the Morant Bay High School in St Thomas were suspended today as students mourned the shooting death of their 15-year-old schoolmate Kadeain Smith.

Smith succumbed to his injuries this morning.

It is reported that about one o’ clock yesterday afternoon two men drove up to the teen's residence, entered the house and shot him in the head.

A female relative was injured after being shot in the upper body.

The gunmen reportedly escaped in an awaiting Nissan Sunny motor vehicle, but were intercepted by the police in Harbour View.

They were arrested and their firearms reportedly seized.

Meanwhile, administrators at Morant Bay High School say they will continue to provide grief counseling to affected students and staff.
