AK-47 rifle found in St James

The police are now searching for members of a St James based gang after the discovery of a high-powered rifle today.
The police say that a 7.62mm AK-47 assault rifle was recovered during Operation Resilience this morning in the community of Salt Spring in the parish.
They say that the weapon was found during the search of premises which was conducted in the Supermarket Lane area of the community between 4 and 8 a.m.
Two men have since been arrested in connection with the seizure.
Their identities are being withheld.
Members of the Waltamese Gang are also being pursued in connection with the find.
