The West Indies Under-19 Team, which includes five Jamaicans, is preparing for two 50-overs matches ahead of its departure for the tour of Bangladesh.

The two 50-over matches will be against the Sagicor West Indies High Performance Centre.

The matches will be played on Thursday and Friday at the 3Ws Oval in Barbados.

Following the matches, the West Indies Under-19s will then depart on Saturday evening for their tour of Bangladesh.

The tour features seven 50-over matches against the Bangladesh Under-19s.

Both teams are using the series as preparation for the International Cricket Council Under-19 World Cup to be played in United Arad Emirates in February, 2014.

Spin bowling all-rounder Ramaal Lewis of Jamaica will captain the West Indies Under-19 team, with Trinidadian Jeremy Solozano as vice-captain.

The other Jamaicans in the 15-member squad are Fabien Allen, Tristan Coleman, Brandon King and Marquino Mindley.
