When Tessanne sings tonight …

Tessanne Chin has been the opening act, for the likes of Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Neyo, and R Kelly, but tonight she will take on the star status on The Voice.
Dion is among the celebrities expected to perform on tonight’s final results show of The Voice.
Chin who is vying for first place in the singing competition against Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin, will be on show tonight at 9:00pm.
Walter Elmore, the producer of the annual Jamaica Jazz and Blues has watched Tessanne's career over the years.
"Tessanne started out on the talent stage at Jazz in about 2003 or 2004, and has since moved to the main stage," Elmore told The Gleaner this afternoon, predicting that Chin will become one of the biggest stars Jamaica has ever seen.
"Don't be surprised, I predict she will be winning the Grammy in no time at all, and not necessarily reggae, because she is so versatile".
Elmore says the first time he heard Chin's voice was on a tape her father sent to him in 1998.
“She did a Celine Dion song on the tape and I said to her father, ‘Why are you sending me a Celine song?’, and he said, it's not Celine it's my 13-year-old daughter who lives in England".
Elmore says the rest is history.
Today, while watching The Voice, he cries.
"Every night I stand and watch Tessanne performing on The Voice I cry like a baby, she has always had this amazing voice,” he said.
For Elmore, there is far more to Tessanne than her voice, it's her spirit and respect for others that makes her extremely special.
"No matter how many times I tell her my name is Walter, she calls me sir. She is so respectful, she is a sweetheart. It's not an act she is putting on The Voice, she is such wonderful girl."
