VYBZ KARTEL TRIAL: Jury ordered to return to court January 6
The 12-member jury hearing the murder case involving entertainer Vybz Kartel has been ordered to return to court on January 6, next year.
While the trial had already been scheduled to resume on that date, the jury was instructed to return to court today.
However, that had to be aborted as the in camera hearing of evidence from cybercrimes expert Detective Sergeant Patrick Linton had not been completed in time.
Detective Sergeant Linton was the head of the Police Forensic and Cybercrimes Unit at the Organised Crime Investigation Division when the police carried out its investigation into the murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams.
The police had reported that they have video and audio recordings linking Vybz Kartel and his co-defendants to the killing.
Kartel is jointly charged with fellow entertainer Shawn Campbell also known as Shawn Storm, Kahira Jones, Shane Williams and Andre St John for the murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams.
Williams was allegedly killed on August 16, 2011 in relation to two missing guns.
