CRICKET: West Indies U-19 team to play on World Cup opening day

The West Indies Under-19 team will be in action on the opening day of the Under-19 World Cup, which begins in the United Arab Emirates on February14.

England, New Zealand and South Africa are also listed to compete on the opening day.

Defending champions India will open their campaign against two-time winners Pakistan the next day.

The tournament features 16 teams divided into four groups and the top two would progress to the quarterfinals.

The other two teams from each group will compete in the Plate Championship quarterfinals.

West Indies have been drawn in Group C alongside South Africa, Zimbabwe and Canada.
