Police capture 'Big Up' for murder of district constable

One of St Andrew's most wanted Jermaine Chambers, otherwise called ‘Big Up’ has been captured by police.

Chambers was wanted for the murder of District Constable Paul Whyte.

The police say Chambers was captured during Operation Resilience in the Kingston Western Division this morning.

Constable Whyte was gunned down in August Town, St Andrew on December, 20, while allegedly attempting to apprehend ‘Big Up’.

A female corporal was also injured in the incident.

Chambers was also wanted for the murder of Marlon Mckenzie, otherwise called ‘Chiphead’, who was shot dead in August Town, St Andrew on November 27, 2012.
