KINGSTON, Jamaica:

A Jamaica Fire Brigade investigation team has ruled out electrical problems as the cause of yesterday's fire aboard a loaded gas tank truck on Mona Road in St Andrew.

This morning, the team began to comb through the burnt-out shell of the Total gas truck.

When our news team arrived on the scene this morning a few residents watched as fire investigators combed through the rubble as they intensified their probe to determine the cause of the blaze yesterday.

The public relations officer of the Jamaica Fire Brigade, Emeleo Ebanks, said already, investigators have ruled out electrical short circuit.

He said preliminary inspection suggests that the fire started near the truck's fuel tank to the right of the vehicle.
