Man succumbs to injuries sustained in Highway 2000 collision

An unidentified man who was travelling in a motor car with four other persons, which collided with a truck, on Highway 2000 St Catherine last night, has succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the crash.

The Spanish Town police say that about 11:50 p.m., the driver of an International truck was travelling towards Kingston when on reaching a section of the highway; he collided with a Toyota Camry motor car.

The driver of the motor car along with four passengers aboard received multiple injuries.

All five persons were taken to hospital where one man from the motor car succumbed to his injuries, about 5 a.m., today, the others were admitted in stable condition.
