Schuler a top-six finalist from Season 5 of the US singing competition ‘The Voice’ expressed sadness and asked for his Twitter followers' prayers after coming face to face with a house soaked with water.

Schuler posted videos on popular social networking site Instagram, showing water falling from the ceiling of one of the rooms in the house as he narrated saying “So we do not have a ceiling any more, this was my living room”.

He also tweeted that only his parent’s room was spared from the water that had taken over his home.

However, Schuler opted to remain positive, tweeting a 'thank you' message to his followers pointing out that everything happens for a reason.

Schuler and his family spent just over two weeks in Jamaica.
