65-y-o man dies in motor vehicle crash

An elderly man has died from injuries he received when he was hit by a motor vehicle in Clarendon last night.

He is 65-year-old Azariah King of Crofts Hill, Clarendon.

The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) says about 11:05 last night, the driver of a Nissan AD Wagon motor car was travelling along Crofts Hill main road towards Kellits. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle on reaching a section of the roadway and collided into a Leyland motor truck travelling in the opposite direction.

King, who was walking along the roadway, was reportedly hit. The police were were called and he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
