Asafa Powell’s agent Paul Doyle is now being cross-examined by Lackston Robinson, the lawyer representing the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission, on day two of the drug hearing into the positive test of the sprinter.

The hearing is being held at the Jamaica Conference Centre in Kingston.

The 31-year-old Powell is facing a disciplinary panel following his positive test for the banned stimulant Oxilofrine at the national championships in June.

Powell blamed the positive tests on a new brand of nutritional supplements given to him by physical trainer, Canadian Chris Xuereb.

Doyle, who took the witness stand earlier this morning, testified that Powell’s former coach Stephen Francis had never expressed any disapproval of Xuereb.

Powell shared similar views as Doyle regarding his former coach during his testimony yesterday.

Powell had stated that Francis was excited about Xuereb working with him.

Powell is among five Jamaican athletes who failed drugs tests at the national championships last year.
