The police say they have recaptured two more of the six inmates who escaped from the Chapelton Police lock-up last Wednesday.

Omar ‘Wingy’ Campbell, and George 'Breezy’ Morgan were brought back into police custody on the weekend, days after three other men were recaptured.

This means only one prisoner remains on the run.

Campbell, who is charged with rape, was nabbed during an operation conducted in search of him in Mason River, Clarendon on Saturday.

Forty-two-year-old Lovette Daley was charged with harbouring a fugitive, after Campbell was found hiding at her house.

George Morgan, who is charged with murder, was recaptured during an operation in Brandon Hill, yesterday.

The police say they continue to search for the sixth escapee, 40-year-old Oneil Stenneth.

His last known address is Coxswain district, Clarendon.

Stenneth is charged with incest.

Police Commissioner Owen Ellington has commended the Clarendon Police for what he calls their swift action resulting in the recapture of the men.

The police are reminding citizens that it is an offence to harbour criminal suspects.

It is warning that those found doing so will be charged and placed before the court.
