Jamaica's Sunshine Girls are due in the country today after the tri-nation netball series in England ended prematurely.

The final match in the series between Jamaica and England yesterday was not played due to injuries to six members of the Sunshine Girls squad.

Netball Jamaica issued a statement just before game time regarding the cancelation of the game.

The injury players listed in the statement are Jhanielle Fowler, Khadijah Williams, Paula Thompson, Sabrina Spence, Sasha-Gay Lynch and Shanice Beckford.

The Sunshine Girls lost both games they played in the series.

They lost 52-46 against New Zealand on Friday and then 46-38 against England on Saturday.

The tri-nation netball series was being used as prep for the Commonwealth Games in Scotland in July.
