Men arrested after robbing woman's mobile phone, purse

Two men suspected to have robbed a woman on the Llandovery main road in St Ann yesterday remain in police custody.



They were arrested after a police team on patrol intercepted them as they attempted to escape.



The St Ann’s Bay police say about 10 a.m. yesterday, a woman was held up by two men travelling in a Toyota Corolla motor car and robbed her of a cellular phone and a purse.



They say an alarm was raised and the vehicle was subsequently intercepted by a team that was on patrol.



The police say a pistol was found during a search of the vehicle.
