Defending champions Harbour View failed to restore their seven-point lead in the 2013-2014 Red Stripe Premier League after they were held to a surprise goalless draw by strugglers Sporting Central in the Monday night fixture.

The game, which was the final encounter of Match Day 18, was played at the Harbour View field.

The result means that second place Montego Bay United are now five points behind the long-time leader going into Match Day 19.

Harbour View are on 37 points with Montego Bay United, who beat Rivoli United 1-0 on Sunday, are on 32.

With the point gained from the fixture, Sporting Central who were relegated to second-from-the-bottom, have climbed five spots to sixth on 22 points.
