Jamaica’s senior cricketers have arrived in Trinidad and Tobago for the 2014 Regional Super50 tournament.

Jamaica are scheduled to be in action on tomorrow’s opening day against defending champions the Windward Islands.

Eight teams divided into two zones will contest the tournament.

Windward Islands and Jamaica are in Zone ‘A’ alongside Guyana and Ireland, while hosts Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Leeward Islands and Combined Campuses & Colleges – last year’s losing finalists, compete in Zone B.

Jamaica will be without West Indies explosive opener Chris Gayle who failed to recover from his hamstring injury suffered in November.

Experienced allrounder David Bernard will now lead the team. Left-arm spinner Nikita Miller is the new vice-captain.
