TRELAWNY, Jamaica:

Night one of the 18th staging of the Jamaica Jazz and Blues festival has been marked by a moderate turnout.

The festival which is being held at the Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium features the 'other side' of Moses Davis, Chronixx and Marcia Griffiths among the main acts tonight.

Already the stage has been graced by other performers such as Christopher Martin and Chalice.

Members of the security forces are out in their numbers.

Things are expected to get more demanding for the police tomorrow night on day two of the annual event which will be headlined by international superstars Toni Braxton and Joe.
